The objective of this project is to do research on and create a saddle stitched book of a given typeface. The given typeface had to be incorporate into each page. Spreads including: brief history of the typeface; showcase all the letters in uppercase, lowercase; identifying and illustrating parts of the typeface; highlighting specific characteristic; visual illustration. There were a lot of “experimental” approaches in creating a type specimen book for Time New Roman . The problem with those approaches is that they tend to look very cluttered. After doing some research, I decided to focus on Times-New-Roman’s humanistic, natural, ancient and humble characteristics.
